Sweet Potatoe – Turnip Cabbage Soup

  • 2 pcs Sweet Potatoes chop into rough 1.5 cm chunks
  • 2 pcs Turnip Cabbages chop into rough 1.5 cm chunks
  • 1 pcs Onion chopped
  • 2 clove Garlic chopped
  • 1 l Bouillon, veg
  • 1 dl White Wine, dry
  • 1/2 tbsp Curry Powder
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • Pepper
  • Salt


  • Peel sweet potatoes and turnip cabbages and cut in cubes (approx. 1.5 cm )
  • Warm up the olive oil and add the chopped onion and garlic
  • Stir for a couple of minutes
  • Add the vegetables and curry powder and let it cook for another 3-4 minutes
  • While stirring deglaze with the white wine
  • Add the bouillon after a few minutes
  • Reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 40 minutes – until the veggies are soft
  • Then season to taste with salt and pepper. Finished – tastes fantastic as it is !


Alternatively, the finished soup can be puréed, add a swig of cream and – voilà – you have a wonderful creamy soup.
